Trimming and Pruning

Cabling and Bracing

(braces) is installed through the union areas of weak branches to provide a more sturdy
structure. Cables are attached with bolts to the top of the crown in the tree.
Removal

Try to use removal as a last resort.
•
Trees that are diseased through and through, dying or already dead trees need to serviced
by removal if no other restoration process is applicable.
Densely populated trees will be (thinned out) by removing trees that block sunlight or crowd
other root systems to allow for full maturity and growth.

Lightning Protection

building structures.

A grounding rod driven in the ground and attached to copper wire should be installed on
taller trees. This will help eliminate side jumping lightning.
•
Inspect these grounding wires to ensure they are still in place and in tact.
